New A La Carte Menu is now available in The Greyhound Inn Restaurant. New dishes for this month include:

To Begin…

  • King Prawn Cocktail & Marie Rose Sauce Served with Brown Bread & Butter
  • Sautéed Mushroom, Garlic & Smoked Bacon with Cream & Scallions served with Bruschetta
  • Mediterranean Sharing Platter – Olives, Houmous, Taramasalata, Salamis, Crusty Bread, Sweet Potato Fries, Cheese Stix with a Salsa Dipping Sauce

In the Middle…

  • Baked Stuffed Seabass with Garlic, Ginger, Lemon Grass Butter & Prawns served with Salad & Minted New Potatoes
  • Roast Breast of Gressingham Duck, Grapefruit, Chive & Honey Sauce Served with Dauphinoise Potatoes & Chargrilled Courgettes
  • Lamb & Apricot Pie – Tender Pieces of Lamb with Apricot in a Rich Gravy, Puff Pastry Lid, Dauphinoise Potatoes & Grilled Courgettes

The Restaurant menu is available Monday to Saturday 12 noon until 2pm and again from 7pm until 9.30pm. On Sunday the Restaurant Menu is available from 7pm until 8.45pm only as we serve a Sunday Carvery between 12.30pm and 2.30pm.

A feast of new menus

Goodbye January. Hello February…and with it a feast of new menus from The Greyhound Hotel and Restaurant.

There is so much to choose from and something to tickle the taste buds of everyone. All our food is home-cooked on the premises and wherever possible we use seasonal, locally sourced ingredients. We cater for vegetarians and gluten free but of course, if you have any specific dietary requirements, please let us know when you book and we’ll do our best to cater for your needs – why not pop down lunchtimes or evenings to dine in the Lounge/Bar or try out the Restaurant menu and enjoy the surroundings of our 21st century dining experience in the heart of the 18th century coaching inn.

Mother’s Day

Sunday March 6th

Just launched our special Mother’s Day menu for 6th March. Served 12 noon – 3:00pm, we’re offering a 4-course set menu for just £15.95 per person with children under 12 enjoying 1 course plus ice cream for just £7.95.

Bookings are now being taken and we advise you to reserve your table early as Mother’s Day is always a very popular occasion at The Greyhound.

Valentine’s Day

As Valentine’s is a weekend this year, you can wine and dine your loved one on Saturday 13th or Sunday 14th. And if you really want to make a weekend of it, we’re offering a Special Valentine’s Weekend package to include the following:
