The 18th century Courtyard is a central feature of The Greyhound Coaching Inn and Hotel. The original brickwork has been carefully renovated during the extensive refurbishment of the Hotel and its facilities.

The traditional Courtyard provides the main entrance to the Hotel under the original archway which defined the building as a coaching inn. During the summer months, the Courtyard provides a pleasant atmosphere in which to relax and has been used on many occasions for outdoor entertaining, summer barbeques and parties.

From the Courtyard you will find the main entrance to the Hotel, reception and the Lounge Bar.

The Lounge Bar is welcoming and relaxing, a wide variety of bar snacks and full meals are available from midday until 2.00pm and also in the evenings. The Bar is open all day and of course, real ale is served!

If you would prefer to take your meal in a more formal setting, then our Restaurant is available throughout the week and weekends, complimented with our Sunday Carvery.

For a more intimate candle-lit dinner, try our very own little piece of Italy, The Vaults Italian Bistro located in the renovated arched cellars of the Greyhound Hotel.

Whatever your dining requirements, The Greyhound offers something to suit everyone. There is no need to book to eat in the Lounge Bar, orders are taken until 9.30pm each evening.
