How we are re-opening, customer information

Effective 19th July 2021

With further relaxation of restrictions, we are delighted to be able to offer more to our customers. We do, however, remain cautious so our service will be extended gradually. As we have hopefully demonstrated over the past months, our priority is to ensure that everyone is safe and that you feel comfortable to be able to enjoy visiting us.


The enhanced cleaning routines we introduced last year remain in place throughout the venue including bedrooms, public spaces, kitchen, laundry and service areas.


Here is everything you need to know about how we are re-opening whilst ensuring we deliver a safe service. We are following all guidelines and recommendations suggested by the Government. We ask that you do too so that we can continue our journey back to normality. Please let's take this sensibly and respect other customers who may still feel apprehensive. 

Book in advance

We are providing a seated table service. Your table may be in the Restaurant, Lounge, or Bar and if weather permits, also the Courtyard. We advise you to book in advance rather than be disappointed.

Reserve a table

NHS Test and Trace

The NHS test and trace sign will continue to be available in the venue for you to scan with the App. We will no longer be asking customers for contact information.


Table Service Only

We are continuing with Table Service until further notice. This means when you are inside the venue you need to be seated for food and drinks. 


On arrival please speak to a member of the team who will take you to your reserved table or find you an empty table. Or you are welcome to find a free table. Your server will take your order for food and/or drinks. The bar will be open for customers to order drinks but standing at the bar chatting and/or drinking is not allowed for the time being. Drinks will be brought to you. 


You do not need to be seated in The Courtyard for drinks.


All restrictions on the size of your group have been removed. If you have a large group and want to eat/drink inside, please book in advance so we can make sure we can accommodate you.


Sanitising and Social Distancing

Sanitiser points remain available through the public spaces of the hotel. There is no legal requirement for social distancing so please be respectful to other customers who are outside your group.



There is no longer a legal requirement for customers to wear facemasks. This will be a personal choice.

Our team will continue to wear facemasks and perspex screens will remain in place.


Food and Drinks

We are reviewing and updating our menus and food choices on a regular basis. Our food service is currently available as follows: 

Lunchtime - Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 12 noon - 2.00pm


Evening - Monday to Thursday, 6.00pm - 9.00pm, Friday and Saturday, 6.30pm - 9.30pm. 


Sunday - there is no food service on Sundays for the time being.


Hotel Guests - our continental breakfast is served buffet style in the Restaurant and your waiter will take your order for hot food at your table. We also offer a comprehensive room service with meals delivered and collected from your room. 


Opening Times

We are open all day, every day for hot drinks and beverages and for food service at the times stated above. The bar closes at 11pm.


Contactless Payments

And finally, wherever possible please pay by contactless payment or by card. The contactless limit has been increased to £45. If you are paying by cash, please remember to use the hand sanitiser provided.


We are over the moon that we are fully re-open. This includes all accommodation services, private functions, weddings, celebrations and meetings. Let's hope with the adjustments we have made, as well as your thoughtful consideration, it stays that way!
